En el día de hoy, DreamCatcher Interactive y JoWooD Productions han anunciado oficialmente el desarrollo de Painkiller: Overdose para PC, con un lanzamiento previsto para este próximo mes de octubre. Painkiller: Overdose marca el regreso de esta popular franquicia, la cual se caracteriza por un notable apartado gráfico y por ofrecer acción frenética sin pausa, con decenas de enemigos en pantalla. A nivel argumental nos situaremos temporalmente antes del título original, mientras que a nivel jugable nos encontraremos con la misma acción de siempre a través de 16 niveles, 6 armas demoníacas y enemigos que nos pondrán los pelos de punta.
